Buenos Aires, November 26 (NA) – President Javier Milei on Wednesday sent a message to his ministers, authorizing them to travel abroad for their vacations in January next year, after the limitations he had set during his first two years in office, in line with the austerity message with which he had assumed office. Destinations considered "ostentatious" such as Europe, Miami or Punta del Este had been discouraged for officials in the summers of 2024 and 2025, although some like Manuel Adorno and Patricia Bullrich had managed to bypass that barrier. However, during the Cabinet meeting that the president chaired this Wednesday, he surprised his ministers with a message of "flexibility" regarding those limitations for the two weeks of vacation they can take in the first month of 2026, as learned by the Argentine News Agency. Now the line has been set that officials are free to choose their destination, but they clarified that they should be "logical" places and that they allocate January for rest, since February is expected to be a very busy month with the processing of reform bills considered key by the ruling party.
